TPSO HOLIDAY CELEBRATION

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet would like to personally congratulate several employees of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office who were recognized for special service awards, as well as several employees who were recognized for their long tenured service to community, during the annual TPSO Christmas Party and Award ceremony, which was held on December 16, 2022.


The TPSO recognized the following employees who were selected as “Deputy of the Year 2022” for their respective divisions, for their outstanding service within the agency, and their dedication to the Parish of Terrebonne:


1st Lt. Chris Guise – Fleet and Maintenance Division

1st Lt. Jacob Fonseca - Transitional Work Release Program Division

Sgt. Carl Beard – Corrections Division

Lt. Melizia Prosperie – Human Resources Division

Deputy Kelly Bascle – Civil Department Division

Sgt. Brandon Theriot – School Resource Officer Division

Cpl. Melissa Clement – Communications Division

Sgt. Jerica Patrick – Detective Division

Senior Deputy Gerrith Ledet – K-9 Division

Sgt. Katie Prestenbach – Warrants Division

Agent Nick Cortez – Narcotics Division


The TPSO recognized several employees for their long tenured service to the agency, as well as their tireless dedication to the people of Terrebonne Parish. As a show of appreciation for reaching the benchmark of 20 and 30 years of service to the TPSO, each recipient received a watch which was presented by Sheriff Tim Soignet during the event. For those employees retiring from the agency, each recipient was presented with a special plaque, honoring their service. The honorees are as follows:


Captain Cher Pitre – 30 years of service, accepted by her sons Mark and Cole Pitre

Major Brent Hidalgo – 30 years of service

Captain Mitch Dupre – 30 years of service

Lt. Melizia Prosperie – 30 years of service

Lt. Jerry Bergeron – 30 years of service

Lt. Laura Guise – 20 years of service

1st Lt. Jamie Trahan – 20 years of service

Lt. Coty Knoblock – 20 years of service

Lt. Ronald McKay - 20 years of service

Lt. Trish Mouton – 20 years of service

Captain Russell Madere – 20 years of service

Lt. Dwayne Hebert – 20 years of service

1st Lt. Dudley Authement – 20 years of service


Lt. Keith Faul – retired after 33 years of service

Dy. Rayetta Robertson Thompson – retired after 32 years of service

Lt. Aaron Hebert - retired after 30 years of service

Lt. David Dupre - retired after 24 years of service

Sgt. Celeste Jackson – retired after 20 years of service

Dy. Royce Pellegrin – retired after 27 years of service

Sgt. Debbie Maisog – retired after 22 years of service

Lt. Doug Chauvin – retirement from service



Sheriff Tim Soignet would like to express his gratitude to not only the recipients of the awards for the ceremony, but all employees of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office for their service and dedication to not only our agency, but to the people of Terrebonne Parish. Sheriff Tim Soignet said, “This event is a way to celebrate not only our employees, but their families as well. Often times we forget about the sacrifices the families of our deputies make each and every day, to support their loved ones in their dedication to the people of Terrebonne Parish. The event was a huge success, and we are looking forward to strengthening the bonds between this agency and the families of those who make this agency what it is. I am immensely proud to lead the employees of this great agency.”
