Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced the arrest of a Gray man in connection with a September Domestic Violence incident.  David Lee Taylor Jr, 34, was arrested on multiple charges in connection with the incident, after leading multiple agencies on a vehicle chase through Terrebonne Parish.

On October 9th, TPSO Deputies were called to an address in the 100 block of Al’s Trailer Park in Gray, in response to an ongoing series of Domestic Violence complaint involving Taylor.  As Deputies approached the address, they observed a vehicle leaving the driveway of a residence which Authorities knew to belong to Taylor.  Deputies were aware of outstanding warrants for Taylor’s arrest, as a result of a September 13th Domestic Violence incident, which led to charges being filed for Aggravated Assault DV.  Deputies attempted to make contact with Taylor, who fled the trailer park at a high rate of speed and were led on a chase throughout several neighborhoods and areas of Houma and Gray, where Taylor committed many extremely dangerous driving maneuvers.  Taylor was later taken into custody, after the pursuit ended in Al’s Trailer Park.

David Lee Taylor Jr was later jailed at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on charges of Aggravated Flight from an Officer, Criminal Damage to Property, and outstanding warrants.  Taylor remains jailed on a $275,000.00 bond by local judges.

Sheriff Soignet praises the work of the Patrol Division, along with Louisiana State Police and the Houma Police Department, who assisted with the incident.  Sheriff Tim Soignet said, “I am extremely grateful that no Law Enforcement officials or innocent people were hurt as a result of this senseless act.  The Deputies did an amazing job in keeping the public safe during a very dangerous situation.  This situation had the potential to end very differently, and our community is safer now that he is in custody.”
